Premiere: Nucular Aminals - "Family Barber"

Posted by Ned Lannamann on Thu, Oct 18, 2012 at 12:11 PM

Nucular Aminals have a new record called Start from an End—that's the album cover up there—and we're premiering a track for you here. The new album is, in my opinion, the Aminals' best yet, a complete realization of their completely sideways approach to a rock song. Opening track "Family Barber" boasts a genie-in-a-bottle organ line and tripping 12/8 drums alongside needle-red guitar work. It's a firecracker-good song, a garage-rock tune that you don't want anywhere in your garage, as it would huff up all your paint and turpentine.

You can hear all of the excellent Start from an End over on Bandcamp, and Nucular Aminals play a record release show on Saturday, November 3 at the Know.
