The Lost City of Vanport: How a Flood and Racism Changed Portland
This Friday night, May 10, the second KPSU Kruise heaves anchor and sets sail on the high seas of the Willamette River. A fundraiser for the Portland State radio station to raise money for an FM broadcast signal, it's basically a party on the Portland Spirit, with live music from Onuinu and Grandparents. It's a late-night boat ride that will last long after midnight—fair warning if you are a Mogwai from 1984's Gremlins (you probably shouldn't be out over all that open water, anyway).
You can buy your tickets here, but in the meantime we are giving away a pair of tickets to End Hits readers! To enter, send an email to this address with "KPSU Kruise" in the headline. We'll select a winner at random in the next 24 hours and send them on their way to the show. To the boat. To the boat show. The show boat. You get the idea.
This contest will close tomorrow (Thursday) at 3 pm, so hop aboard while you have the chance!
