Neigh! America's favorite collective of music-playing equines*, Band of Horses, is coming back to their old galloping ground of the Pacific Northwest next month, and they're playing a show at the Crystal Ballroom on Wednesday, August 7. It's their first Portland show since releasing Mirage Rock, an album whose silky mane and loping gait marked a return to form for the country-flecked rockers. And we're giving away a pair of tickets to the show! (Bonus! Incredible Seattle country singer Sera Cahoone—who used to be Band of Horses' drummer—is also on the bill. She is just plain great.)
For your chance to take the prize-winning reins, shoot an email to contest at portlandmercury dot com with "Band of Horses" in the subject line. Please include your first and last name in the email. We'll select a winner at random and send them off, hot to trot, to the show! This contest closes Monday at 5 pm, so saddle up and good luck!
