Rather than hopping on stage, slinging some tunes, and calling it good, Modern Kin are attempting something far more ambitious, streaming seven live shows within a space of 24 hours around the globe, all to be transmitted from Mississippi Studios. They're calling it the "Hello World" tour, and perhaps it's a sign of things to come in the internet age.
I'll let their press release do the explaining, because frankly, it's a little baffling (and intriguing):
HELLO, WORLD is… seven live-streamed YouTube concerts in 24 hours from Portland, Oregon band Modern Kin at 10pm in 7 different timezones on October 25th & 26th. Shows will stream at YouTube.com/amigoamigamusic.
