I was invited back to shoot the March Red Bull-sponsored Sound Select show at the Doug Fir, even after my previous comment about underage barfing. This month's show was curated by Portugal. The Man, and in keeping with Red Bull's commitment to support and feature local music, local bands And And And and The We Shared Milk opened for Chicago's Maps & Atlases. The show itself was not as debaucherous as one might have liked for a Mardi Gras show—and in truth the only thing that gave it away were the beaded necklaces wandering around. I imagine it's hard for anyone to drink more than one cocktail with Red Bull in it before they are too wired to handle anything else, so maybe it's helping to keep things pretty sober.
I did get a chance to sit down with local boys The We Shared Milk before the show and attempt an interview—my solution for having no plan was to pull out a MySpace bulletin survey circa 2004 and get down to some serious life questions. Scroll through the post to travel back in time!
I was excited all over again about decent lighting for the Doug Fir's basement of perpetual monotone, and they didn't disappoint! More show photos after the jump!

Do you consider yourself the life of the party?
Boone: Not at all. I'm the loudest sometimes?
Eric: I actually make the parties less fun to be at.
Henry: We kind of make a Party Planet. You know, it's like Captain Planet? He's beer, weed, acid, conversation..
Boone: Oh, are you conversation?
Henry: Party Planet!
When was the last time you showered?
Eric: Two days ago.
Boone: This morning.
Henry: Last night.
Do you consider yourself attractive?
